La nuit, des drones font l'inventaire des stocks. Le centième a décollé à IKEA Zaventem. A la clé, gain de temps. Et donc possibilité pour le personnel de se consacrer à des tâches à plus grande valeur.
Les drones travaillent lorsque les entrepôts IKEA sont vides : la nuit ou lorsque les magasins sont fermés. Ils décollent d'une station de charge. Puis déambulent dans l'entrepôt pour contrôler chaque palette grâce à un système GPS intégré. Tous les drones sont équipés de capteurs de sécurité à 360 degrés qui leur permettent d'éviter les obstacles inattendus.
Ils capturent des images, des vidéos et réalisent des scans de profondeur 3D des articles. Une fois ce travail terminé, ils retournent à leur station de charge. Ils téléchargent les données collectées. Concrètement, ils font l'inventaire, avertissent lorsqu'il manque certains produits, lorsque l'un d'eux n'est pas à sa place et identifient les palettes endommagées. Sur base de ces informations, qui apparaissent sur un tableau de bord dédié, les collaborateurs peuvent ensuite corriger les écarts de stocks.
En finir avec les inventaires manuels
Si le centième drone est opérationnel à Zaventem, le projet a démarré voici trois ans quand Ingka Group, la holding du groupe Ikea, a entamé une collaboration avec le fournisseur suisse de drones d'intérieur Verity. Le premier drone a décollé à IKEA Suisse en 2021. Les appareils actuellement opérationnels sont actifs dans 16 sites différents en Allemagne, en Belgique, en Croatie, en Italie, aux Pays-Bas en Slovénie et en Suisse.
L'idée ? En finir avec les inventaires manuels, tâche terriblement chronophage -plus de 11.000 articles dans le seul point de vente de Zaventem ! Et donc permettre aux collaborateurs de pouvoir consacrer plus de temps à des tâches à valeur ajoutée comme l'amélioration de la productivité ou l'expérience client.
D'autres projets de productivité suivront
« Nous sommes toujours curieux d'apprendre des autres, commente Peter Ac, Supply Chain, Inter IKEA Group. En ce sens, ce projet est un excellent exemple de la façon dont nous collaborons au sein du groupe, y compris avec un partenaire externe. Car c'est ensemble que nous avons trouvé la solution dont nous bénéficions tous. »
C'est une étape. D'autres suivront. En Croatie, le groupe a testé récemment des petits robots radiocommandés pour récupérer les bacs contenant les produits ; ils les délivrent ensuite aux employés lors de l'exécution des commandes. De même, dans un de ses magasins en Californie, le groupe utilise un système de rayonnage automatisé qui élimine la majorité des chariots élévateurs, ce qui permet de maintenir plus d'articles en stock. « Tout le monde est gagnant, résume Tolga Öncu, Head of Retail, Ingka Group. Cela améliore le bien-être de nos collègues, réduit les coûts opérationnels et nous permet de devenir toujours plus abordables et plus pratiques pour nos clients. »
