Something that's, considered, MAJOR in this country here, a rite of, passage in life…translated…
After the winter vacation, the second-year high school students started attending the fieldtrips hosted by their schools, commonly known as "graduation trips". My child at home got really excited, packed their things, gleefully, went on the four day three night's trip with their school instructors, and fellow classmates.
Early in the morn, I took my child to school, then I'd followed my husband who was headed off to a conference to Sanxia; I'd originally wanted to be a fitting passenger-side driver, but, shortly after we got onto the freeways, I'd gone to meet up with the Sandman. As my husband was in his conference, I'd strolled around outdoors, the skies are unpredictable, sometimes sunny, at others, cloudy, faced with the mountain cherry I come across as I walked, with the azaleas to the sides, I'd worried about my son, but knew, that the school and the tour leaders would, help them have a good time.

The parents who were chaperoning gave us the news that they're fine on the LINE group, the homeroom instructor sent the group photo, and from time to time, I'd received messages from my own son too, sharing with me, what souvenir he'd bought, what he had for the meals, or what he saw; although, he'd not written many words, but I'd felt the joys of his trip. And, the moms who are connected, also shared on the group, what their children shared with them.
The days when my child wasn't home, I got to sleep in, worked through my chores, quite, easily, caught up on my series shows; my husband called in sick one afternoon, the two of us took the bus to the movies, and went for supper, that was, the long-ago, forgotten, date. These past couple of days I'd not cooked, and I'd not gone shopping until the fourth, made my son's favorite, curry chicken, expecting all the stories he will share with him about his trip.
They got through the graduation trip with no troubles at all, clearly, it'd, given a whole lot to these, high schoolers. Hearing my son telling me all the tales, some made us laugh loudly, others, made us, thrilled. At the rest stop, bumping into other high schools' buses, waiting in line for the restrooms, was a sight; there were students who'd met up with former classmates from other middle schools, and were excited to see them; at night, they were in the hotel rooms, having instant noodles as midnight snacks with the other students, snacking, playing the board games, cell phone games, or just, watched T.V. together, everybody stayed close to one another, bonding, this will become something that my son will be reminiscing over in the future too.
The graduation trips of elementary, middle and high school are a symbol, not only of the great time spent with best friends, but also, a rite of passage of sorts. This high school graduation trip, the school set up a special tour, a four-hour trekking around the city for discoveries, with the groups of students, setting up what they wanted to do, planning where they were to eat their lunches, although, they were all wearing their masks in the photo ops, the masks still didn't cover up, just how excited they all, were.

I'm grateful, that my son had three trials of graduation trips total, especially the last two were during the pandemic, it'd felt that he'd, matured a whole, lot, knew to care for himself, and be more understanding of, others too now.
So, this, is why it would be important, for the parents to allow their young to go on these, school sponsored graduation trips, because it helps them gain more independence, and it's, a rite of passage, one more chance, for them to enjoy their classmates' companies, before they're to go their, separate, ways.
