Relatives Belvedere, Canaries, resident Rodwell Lansiquot have filed a missing person report with the police after he failed to return home since Monday.
Lansiquot's aunt, Paula Marius, told St Lucia Times that he had suffered from mental health issues since his youth.
And she said since earlier this year the family had tried, unsuccessfully, to get assistance in in admitting him to the National Mental Wellness Centre.
Marius said someone saw Lansiquot heading towards the Anse Mahaut beach.
But search parties to the area and other beaches failed to locate the 34-year-old.
