Orange Belgium rafle plusieurs récompenses dans le cadre de la première analyse de l'expérience du réseau mobile 5G en Belgique. Orange Belgium, pionnier de la 5G.
Avec un score de 215 Mbps, Orange Belgium est le premier opérateur à remporter le nouveau prix « 5G Download Speed » décerné dans le cadre du rapport d'Opensignal le plus récent sur l'expérience des réseaux mobiles en Belgique. C'est également Orange qui décroche le plus de récompenses dans le cadre de la première analyse d'Opensignal relative à l'expérience 5G en Belgique. Voilà qui prouve encore une fois l'efficacité du programme d'orientation du réseau d'Orange Belgium vers le client (Network Customer Centricity).
Opensignal, norme mondiale indépendante d'analyse de l'expérience mobile des consommateurs, a publié son premier Mobile Experience Report de l'année pour la Belgique. Le rapport a analysé l'expérience du réseau mobile offerte par les trois opérateurs nationaux de Belgique sur une période de 90 jours allant du 1er novembre 2022 au 29 janvier 2023.
Pour la première fois, l'expérience des clients 5G d'Orange a été mesurée séparément. Les clients d'Orange Belgium bénéficient actuellement d'une couverture 5G à Anvers, à Gand, à Bruges, dans la région côtière et dans certains quartiers de Louvain.
Unique lauréat du nouveau prix qui récompense la vitesse de téléchargement en 5G
Les tests Opensignal relatifs à la vitesse de téléchargement en 5G présentent la vitesse de téléchargement moyenne constatée par les utilisateurs sur le réseau 5G d'un opérateur. La vitesse de téléchargement en 5G est calculée en Mbps (mégabits par seconde) pour chaque opérateur. Si l'on compare les vitesses de téléchargement moyennes observées par les utilisateurs d'Opensignal lorsqu'ils sont connectés en 5G à la moyenne globale de toutes les générations de technologie mobile, ce sont les utilisateurs d'Orange Belgium qui enregistrent la plus forte augmentation, avec des vitesses de téléchargement 5G 6,8 fois plus rapides. Avec un score de téléchargement 5G de 215 Mbps, Orange Belgium devance le second du classement de 56,7 Mbps.A titre de référence : 200 Mbps permettent de télécharger un album de musique entier en 3 secondes environ, un film en qualité HD (1 080 p) en 3 minutes et un film en qualité ultra-HD (4K) en 13 minutes.
A noter que c'est Orange Belgium qui a remporté le plus de récompenses dans le cadre de cette première analyse de l'expérience du réseau mobile 5G en Belgique. Avec un très bon score pour « 5G Video Experience », de bons scores dans les catégories « 5G Games Experience », et « 5G Voice App Experience » et les meilleures notes pour les catégories « 5G Download Speed » et « 5G Upload Speed », Orange Belgium prouve qu'il s'emploie constamment à optimiser l'expérience client sur le réseau et qu'il met tout en œuvre pour offrir à ses clients des services plus efficaces et plus rapides.
Investissements continus dans le réseau au profit de l'expérience client
« La mission d'un opérateur tel que nous consiste à améliorer l'expérience réseau de millions de clients », commente Stefan Slavnicu, Chief Technology Officer, Orange Belgium. L'opérateur compte mettre à niveau et installer 1 200 sites cette année, dans le but d'offrir la vitesse 5G à 40 % de la population belge à l'aide d'un ensemble de technologies basées sur le lieu de résidence de nos clients.
« Nous nous concentrons sur tous les éléments qui jouent un rôle clé et nous investissons dans ces éléments. Au bout du compte, nous voulons offrir à nos clients une expérience de premier ordre grâce à une technologie de pointe tout en construisant nos réseaux multi-gigabit en nous focalisant résolument sur le client. »
Orange Belgium, pionnier de la 5G
Orange Belgium a ouvert son premier Orange 5G Lab à Anvers en octobre 2021 pour inviter les entreprises à découvrir, tester et développer des cas d'application innovants dans le domaine de la technologie du réseau 5G autonome (stand-alone). Un an plus tard, Orange Belgium s'associait à l'emblématique Grand Poste de Liège pour présenter sa technologie 5G ainsi que ses possibilités et ses applications en collaboration avec le secteur.
Les Orange 5G Labs servent à développer et à tester de nouvelles applications 5G innovantes et concrètes en collaboration avec des clients, des prospects et des partenaires. Orange Belgium entend présenter les nombreuses nouvelles possibilités que la 5G offrira dans divers domaines tels que le transport, la santé, la production, les villes intelligentes, etc.
Dans cette optique, l'opérateur télécom poursuit la création d'un écosystème 5G avec ses partenaires. Résultat : le gouvernement fédéral a sélectionné 11 projets pilotes 5G innovants sur le réseau d'Orange Belgium, susceptibles d'obtenir des subventions destinées à accélérer le déploiement de la 5G en Belgique. Orange Belgium aura la possibilité de révéler le potentiel de la 5G en toute transparence, sur la base d'un réseau national et international de premier ordre.
