What is this? Well, it is a piece of the liturgy used by different churches, most frequently as part of a morning service. It's based on Psalm 95, and the Latin word "venite" is the first word of that Psalm -- "come." Evidently there are numerous versions, so I had to search to find the one that is familiar to me.
