Plus de la moitié des entreprises belges prévoient de relocaliser leurs opérations pour surmonter la crise de la supply chain. La démondialisation est en route.
Supply chain, rien ne va plus ! Les entreprises belges, françaises et néerlandaises sont ralenties par des retards dans la production de biens ou la livraison de services (50 %) et par un manque de matières premières (34 %). Cette situation a entraîné une baisse de chiffres d'affaires (33%). Egalement une incapacité de payer le personnel (31 %) ou les loyers (41 %). Mais aussi une perte de clientèle (35 %). Ou une atteinte à la réputation (27 %).
Ce sont quelques résultats du rapport Tomorrow's Supply Chain: Disruption Around Every Corner Dans celui-ci, les entreprises belges, en particulier, indiquent s'attendre à des pénuries de matières premières, à des rayons vides et une disponibilité réduite des produits de santé jusqu'à la fin de 2023.
Les défis en matière de chaîne d'approvisionnement s'ajouteront aux difficultés liées à l'inflation, estime SAP, alors même que les entreprises prévoient de réduire leurs effectifs et d'augmenter leurs prix si la hausse des coûts de leur chaîne logistique se poursuit.
Le bout du tunnel ? Pas avant la fin de l'année…
La grande majorité des entreprises belges sont conscientes du besoin d'améliorer leur chaîne logistique (84 %). 36 % d'entre elles comprennent également l'ampleur des changements à mettre en oeuvre. Cet avis est partagé par les entreprises des pays voisins de la Belgique. 97 % des entreprises néerlandaises participantes déclarent qu'elles doivent s'améliorer. En France, ce chiffre atteint 87 %.
Pour les entreprises, le pessimisme est de mise. Le bout du tunnel semble lointain. La moitié des entreprises pensent que les problèmes qui touchent actuellement la chaîne logistique persisteront jusqu'à la fin 2023. Seule une entreprise sur dix s'attend à une solution pour la fin de l'été. Pour plus de six répondants belges sur dix, deux facteurs clés pèseront sur la résolution des problèmes : la crise énergétique (42 %) et la situation en Ukraine (22 %).
Voilà qui n'augure rien de bon pour les consommateurs et les travailleurs. En effet, les entreprises belges expliquent qu'elles devront compenser l'inflation qui a gagné la chaîne logistique. Ce qui signifie geler recrutements et salaires (56 %), en augmentant les prix (40 %) ou en supprimant des emplois (32 %).
« Les incertitudes et les défis auxquels font face tant d'entreprises belges ont des conséquences sur les consommateurs, explique Frank Soudan, Head of Digital Supply Chain chez SAP Belgique & Luxembourg. Ceux-ci sont confrontés à l'envolée des prix de produits essentiels comme l'alimentation, l'énergie et les carburants. »
Localisation avec un appel clair au gouvernement
100 % des entreprises belges confirment aussi la valeur d'une démondialisation des chaînes d'approvisionnement. Selon elles, celle-ci soutiendrait la croissance économique. Ces entreprises demandent en outre le soutien des autorités. Elles souhaitent ainsi des mesures incitatives pour attirer les personnes vers le travail et développer les compétences (50 %), mais aussi pour attirer les talents étrangers (40 %). Elles veulent également une surveillance de la chaîne d'approvisionnement et des investissements là où cela est nécessaire (48 %), tout en veillant à un assouplissement des politiques industrielles et commerciales (44 %).
Le rapport montre qu'une majorité d'entreprises françaises (66 %) pensent également que la démondialisation des chaînes d'approvisionnement pourrait favoriser la croissance économique. Aux Pays-Bas, les entreprises sont plus mitigées : 34 % y seraient favorables et 66 % défavorables.
L'évolution du rôle de la gestion de la supply chain
« Autrefois, la gestion de la chaîne logistique consistait principalement à réduire les coûts. Aujourd'hui, le grand défi pour les entreprises est de devancer la demande des consommateurs, tout en améliorant leur résilience, en réduisant leurs émissions carbone, en retenant les talents et en minimisant leurs coûts. Le marché du travail postpandémique, la guerre en Ukraine, la hausse des coûts de l'énergie ont exacerbé les difficultés liées aux modèles actuels de chaîne d'approvisionnement en Belgique, explique Frank Soudan. Et quels que soient les facteurs externes qui perturberont la circulation des biens et des services à l'avenir, la culture de la consommation à la demande va encore se développer. Une nouvelle approche est nécessaire pour répondre à cette demande. »
Bru Textiles, accent sur la durabilité
Bru Textiles, l'un des principaux fournisseurs mondiaux de tissus d'ameublement d'intérieur, confirme la tendance. « Comme d'autres, nous avons ressenti les effets de la crise, commente Dieter Verlaeckt, IT Director, Bru Textiles. Le transport était particulièrement sous pression. Mais grâce à nos investissements logiciels, nous avons pu contrôler, gérer et automatiser nos processus en matière de coûts et d'opérations. C'est vraiment ce qui a fait la différence. »
L'entreprise utilise la technologie SAP pour collecter des données et les enrichir afin de garantir une visibilité totale de son réseau d'approvisionnement. Bru Textiles a construit un entrepôt à la pointe de la technologie, entièrement automatisé, pour concrétiser ses objectifs de croissance à grande échelle et garantir l'excellence de ses services.
En ce qui concerne le développement durable, le rapport montre aussi qu'une entreprise sur quatre ne sait ni par où commencer, ni comment. Dieter Verlaeckt : « Chez nous, c'était plutôt l'inverse : nous avons déployé notre logiciel sur la base de considérations durables. Nous avons rapidement constaté que l'amélioration du flux d'informations dans notre chaîne d'approvisionnement ouvrait aussi de nombreuses opportunités pour la bonne gestion de notre stock et un meilleur service au client. En collectant et en enrichissant les données, nous disposons d'une vue d'ensemble de notre chaîne d'approvisionnement. »
De nouvelles façons d'améliorer la chaîne d'approvisionnement
Les conclusions du rapport montrent enfin que les entreprises belges explorent d'autres voies pour améliorer leurs chaînes d'approvisionnement :
- 80 % prévoient de donner la priorité aux solutions de chaîne d'approvisionnement domestiques.
- 72 % pensent faire appel aux nouvelles technologies pour les aider à relever les défis des deux prochaines années.
- 66 % souhaitent trouver de nouvelles solutions de chaîne d'approvisionnement respectueuses de l'environnement.
« Nous ne pouvons que nous réjouir qu'autant d'entreprises comprennent l'importance d'investir dans les technologies de pointe pour innover et déployer de nouvelles solutions écologiques, conclut Frank Soudan. Cela donnera la perspicacité et la résilience nécessaire à la chaîne d'approvisionnement. »
