« Avec l'essor de l'utilisation mobile, on a tendance à oublier l'importance des performances du réseau fixe. Une grande partie de nos activités quotidiennes dépendent pourtant de la qualité de ce canal… Il n'y a rien de plus frustrant qu'une connexion lente en streaming ! », estime Stefan Slavnicu, Chief Technology Officer, Orange Belgium.
Orange Belgium a été désigné fournisseur d'accès internet fixe le mieux noté de Belgique. Le statut a été décerné par Ookla connu mondialement pour sa Speedtest Intelligence. L'analyse porte sur la satisfaction des clients pour la période Q1-Q4 2022.
A travers ses tests tout au long de l'année, Ookla invite les utilisateurs à « évaluer leur fournisseur » en lui attribuant une note sur une échelle de 1 à 5 étoiles. Avec 3,4 points, Orange Belgium est le fournisseur de service fixe le mieux noté. Ce résultat confirme la volonté de l'opérateur d'offrir une expérience utilisateur toujours meilleure, en toutes circonstances.
Priorité à l'expérience utilisateur
La constance est un élément crucial de l'analyse. En effet, elle prend en compte une série de paramètres pour lesquels les tests d'utilisateur ont atteint les seuils de performance minimums recommandés. Avec son statut, Orange Belgium prouve qu'il s'emploie constamment à améliorer l'expérience client.
« Nous investissons constamment pour rester à la pointe des technologies de réseau internet, poursuit Stefan Slavnicu. Et donc pour améliorer la performance globale. Cela prouve que nous sommes toujours en mesure de nous démarquer techniquement. On se concentre sur la qualité de bout en bout. En effet, un réseau mobile et les services qu'il offre ne se limitent pas à l'accès, il s'agit aussi de gérer la capacité et les outils : le réseau de transport, le réseau IP, les interfaces de peering. »
La Belgique, en 43ème position mondiale...
Au niveau mondial, Ookla, le leader mondial de l'intelligence réseau et des informations sur la connectivité, positionne la Belgique en 43ème position, alors que la première nation reste Singapour. Notre pays est crédité d'une moyenne de 86,9 Mbps en download et 19 Mbps en upload pour une latence de 12 ms… S'il est intéressant de voir comment se situent les pays les uns par rapport aux autres, l'index intègre également des statistiques sur la progression ou régression des pays dans le classement.
