This was never meant to be a BTS blog! But we are now coming around to two years since I started listening to them, and so much has happened. Jimin has just released his solo album - FACE - which contains his thoughts from the pandemic. This has made me think about the past three years, and I realise they have been a significant three years. Thankful for translations - https://www.learnkoreanwithsel.com/face-by-jimin Like Crazy has an English version (although apparently it's a re-write, not a translation) (and now it has a deep House and Garage mix). Such a pop tune... and the video!!!
I extensively covered the UK lockdowns in my other blog, and it was strange the way it all rather petered out, because we still hear of people having Covid19, and of Long Covid, but once that last lockdown finally finished, and we had some more general mask wearing and vaccines, it all stopped being news (in UK) and replaced by so much more ( petrol shortages, cost of living crisis, even a tomato and pepper shortage, Boris Johnson parties, Queen Jubilee, Queen died, upcoming Coronation, heatwave.... ) I jotted down some thoughts about FACE (as I never did about INDIGO, which I was going to) - it's a short album, no-one knew what it was going to be like, Jimin had said last year he was experimenting. I think it's a bit like swimming, it floats, then explodes with set free butterflies. It also comes with my previous thoughts on how music is visualised - if you see something live/ video first do you have a different impression to listening and forming your own mind images? Going back to the original point of me writing about idols, through the generations, in the 1950s you wouldn't have had a video to link to!! You would just have a song and any photos, I remember my Mum had 'like' annuals of movie stars, which I used as fashion inspiration in the 1980s (I have now just googled these on second hand sites, such as Etsy ... ) Books probably not dis-similar to the content you get now with a k-pop album release. In the 1980s we had many printed music newspapers and magazines to buy, and of course TV like Top of The Pops and The Tube, before MTV arrived. Amazing things like the video for Ultravox VIENNA... There is bountiful content for FACE, and it is great that SET ME FREE PT 2 made number 30 in the Official UK Chart on Friday (being released a week before the album). Finally - everyone needs some Jimin in their lives, lovely Jimin, and I do hope (as he says) he feels better now he has made the album and got over his pandemic feelings.

LIKE CRAZY FILM https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1758692/

One hundred blogs of Covid 19 ended a year ago with us self-isolating, and the cats' kittens filling up our spare room https://socialmediable.wordpress.com/2022/04/02/covid-19-diary-days-100/ Maybe I just felt that as we'd had Covid 19 I didn't need to mention it ever again? Also... RM ....
