दिल टूटा या जुड़ा
यह मुद्दा ही नहीं है,
मुद्दा यह है कि दिल कितना निखरा
इस प्यार के बाद...
इस प्यार ने एक सलीका सिखाया
मुझे जीने का,
मेरे हृदय के किसी कोने में उठ रही
संगीत की धुनों ने मुझे सिखाया
कुछ मधुर और प्यारा गुनगुनाना...
मेरे अंतर में चुपचाप पैदा हो रहे
नए शब्द और भाव, मुझे
कुछ बोलना और लिखना सिखाया
अर्थ, उद्देश्य और संवेदनशीलता के साथ...
उन्हें तन्मयता से सुनने वाले
कुछ प्रबुद्ध श्रोता
और रुचि और तीव्रता से पढ़ने वाले
कुछ सुधी पाठक मिले,
जो मुझ पर बरसाते रहते हैं
अपना प्यार...
प्यार वह नहीं है
जो बात करता हो
किसी को नुकसान पहुंचाने की,
सच्चा प्यार वह है
जो जगाता हो ज्वलंत इच्छा
जीने और खुश रहने की,
साथ रहकर भी और जुदा होकर भी...
प्यार वह है
जिसमें प्यार जिंदा रहे
इस दिल में या उस दिल में,
मगर जहां भी दिल धड़के,
तो वह सात स्वरों* की
समवेत धुन की तरह धड़के...
I loved too
I fell in love too...
It doesn't matter whether
it was successful or not,
what matters is
that it taught me to love...
The issue is not whether
the heart was
broken or connected,
the issue is
how much the heart blossomed
after this love...
It taught me how to live,
and somewhere
in the corner of my heart
the tunes of music
taught me to hum something
lovely and melodious...
New words and feelings,
quietly born
in my unwritten soul,
taught me to speak and write
with some meaning,
purpose, and sensitivity...
For which I've got
some enlightened audience
who listen attentively,
and some intelligent readers
who read with keen interest
and shower me with love...
Love is not the one
who talks about
harming someone,
true love is the one
that arouses a burning desire
to live and be happy,
whether together or apart...
Love is the one
in which love remains alive
in this heart or in that heart,
but wherever the heart beats,
it beats like a mixed tune
of all the seven notes*...
