X-Rays - It is also called as X-radiation and is a penetrating form of high-energy electromagnetic radiation. The wavelength of X-ray is shorter as compared with Ultra Violet rays and is longer than Gamma rays. Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen discovered the X-ray or X radiation on November 8, 1895 thus X radiation is also known as Rontgen radiation.
An X-Ray is a painless and fast test, which produces images of the structures in the body, especially bones. X-Rays use invisible electromagnetic beams for producing images of internal bones, organs, and tissues on digital media. These images of organs help doctors to diagnose a wide range of plans and conditions treatments. X-rays are mainly used in evaluating dislocated joints, broken or fractured bones, and many other bone injuries.
X-Ray is used in checking fractures and infections in bones in the human body. It is also used in checking cavities in the teeth. There are some special types of X-Rays tests that can measure bone density and also helps in revealing bone tumors. Thus, X-rays are one of the most effective and safe ways of evaluating the health.
