While in the Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital in May of 2022, struggling with my first of 10 hospitalizaions in 2022, due to bipolar depression and mania, I was in bed so much that the nurses wisely gave me one of those old-time contraptions that you have to blow into for 10 seconds 10 times a day...trying to keep those bubbles up in the air...to make sure my lungs gotta workout!
I blew each day dutifully for 2 weeks until I got sick of it!
I began to explore my boredom options...
"Hey! I played JAZZ Trombone from Junior High in 1974 in Buffalo, Minnesota, through college at Minnesota State University, Mankato, in Southern Minnesota in 1984...and I 
loved it! I have wanted since 1982 at Mankato State U to play the alto sax and swing The BLUES...why not take this boring time blowing into this contraption in '22 at the Menomonee Falls Hospital and convert it into MY REALITY?!!"
So when I got out of Menomonee Falls Hospital in June 2022, I went directly to our local music store and purchased a brand new YAMAHA alto sax! Dream Full filled!
But that was just the beginning...I started lessons right away...even playing the BLUES scales 
immediately!
Then, it turns out that my bipolar disorder interrupted my progress once again...in July '22 flying into mania this time...into a manic relapse, driving off to Michigan and ending up in a mental hospital in Grand Rapids for all of July.
When I returned to Milwaukee in August '22, my beautiful wife Sandra and I decided to separate for a year, and I moved into a 2-bedroom apartment in Menomonee Falls, 12-minutes away from our condo in northwest Milwaukee.
It has been somewhat lonely here in my new Menomonee Falls apartment in what I have chosen to call my "creativity STUDIO"...
Here, 
I write poetry and blogs, master my public speaking and calligraphy skills, listen to music and National Public Radio programs on the radio, sing, send out homemade calligraphy cards to Friends & Family, and learn how to play my alto sax...and, most unexpectedly, starting my new online educational consulting business, Authentic Journeys LLC...so I guess I am NOT as lonely and secluded as I had thought!
...and it all started with an inspiration to begin playing the alto sax!! 2022 was the worst AND THE BEST YEAR OF MY 60-YEAR LIFE!!
