Sexual Liberty; The Lust And Infatuation Misinformation
"IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off]. For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom; only [do not let your] freedom be an incentive to your flesh and an opportunity or excuse [for selfishness], but through love you should serve one another. For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is complied with in the one precept, You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. [Lev. 19:18.] But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do."
Galatians 5:1, 13-14, 16-17 AMPC
Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. Freedom is a Biblical concept you know but all of man's quest under the sun is for freedom. Liberty as David Brion Davis and Edmund Morgan in their book The Problem Of Slavery In Western Culture couched the enormous importance of slavery in the social and intellectual reconstruction and reconfiguration of freedom in our modern context. They went on to espoused how slavery in a short time frame became redefined as the greatest evil, a moral and socioeconomic scourge that had to be exterminated. It has held humanity and enslaved it. It has also distorted histrionics of nations and indeed individuals have lost identity due to same. In fact in the third world these distortions still hold us enslaved and enamored towards the cultural values of societies who enslaved us setting standards based on their perceived realities. Today's passage is one such that has always had me spell bound the freedom the in Christ realities bring. Personally my battle with addictions and depression was secured in the e grafted word of life especially as expounded by Apostle Paul a well lettered brother in Christ. But my focus on liberty is on a small but mighty aspect of same and that is the power of lust over our sexuality.
For the longest time we have been told a sad testament of one of the greatest good of God and sold a dummy that SEX is the problem. God never produced anything bad so let me categorically state today here and now that SEX is part of the greatest good God ever designed when man was created. The perversion of sex has always been the problem. When counseling I always tell folk that a man's sexuality starts from what he sees. His eyes are the gateway to a mans sexuality. Buy a woman's sexuality comes from her hearing eyes. He eats give vision to her sight and that is why a woman must guard her ears firmly. Eve had an affair and it was not sexual folk. It was verbal. Humor me a bit can I walk up to any wan and just like the serpent of old tell her let's walk into some hotel get butt naked and shag to our hearts fill? The answer is a resounding capital NO! Now to woo a woman you must appeal to her mind's eye. Jesus coming was to set us free as the passage today informs us clearly. Jesus wants us to stand firm and let yourself be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

So, back to the core of the message. Sex was never the problem but lust through the entrance of the first sin brought this problem we are saddled with to this day. God's plan for sexual desire satan has constantly obstructed. Indeed it is a battle of two worlds kind of the battle of good against evil if that helps or tickle your fancy of understanding. Yes lust is bad! But! It's bad because what it perverts is so good. In fact many have the distorted notion that God is anti-sex. In fact, God is outspokenly pro-sex within the confines of marriage which he in fact designed and invented. Passionate sex which we all desire and is firmly distorted by the pornographic industry as designed to be the ultimate act of true worship an offering of one's self to another that synchronizes into a sort of musical crescendo of praise to the original designer God himself. Song of Songs is dedicated to this. That book captures giving a good head and the passion that follows. Same book speaks of the profound joy of fingering yet it is one of the most misunderstood books of the Holy law. Satan wants us to see sex and your sexuality as your enemy while the true enemy is lust. Lust for lack of a better description is extreme desire to possess. While infatuation the baby brother herein is a desire to be with. We all desire to be with that special one and that special one for a man begins with what he sees. While for a woman begins with the tunes she hears. If you want to woo a lady attempt it with good music. Do not begin until you understand the kind of music that tunes her ears and Gbam! You're in the zone. It is why you would find a short obtrusive man with the most gorgeous lady as his damsel. Lust has hijacked our sexuality. Note a man's love cycle begins from the atmosphere of lust. While a woman starts hers from an atmosphere of infatuation.
There is a healing taking place and would be doing a close of year journey of recovery and building refuged walled service for our relational life. Also watch this space and Kyenpiya and my social handles as we are starting a new journey tagged #BedroomTalkWithEmmaAndKyenpiya it would help understand that your drive and sexuality are not the problem. It will also help you identify lust and it's power. Watch out for season one and later in 2023 the book Africa Needs A Father would be out. Lust strangulates and distorts the true essence of your sexuality. The power of escape is in the call to freedom as our passage today informs. Remain blessed! Shalom
