Hello, my darling readers,
I kept a gratitude journal almost half a year in the beginning of 2022. And it was great.
If you do not know what that is, it is a journal in which you write down 3 or 5 things that you are grateful from that day, everyday.
When I started the journal I could see the simple joys in my life easier. It was like my coffee tasted better in the mornings. I was more rested. I started to do more exercise and I was noticing the beautiful nature in my walks.
Later in my practice, I noticed that maybe I had more cheerfulness when I was doing my job. I got a raise. A lover whom with I had a long relationship came back in my life.
Just before I stopped keeping the gratitude journal I was even happy with my life. After I stopped with my practice it was good for a while but now- a-days I am not happy.
If I think logical my life is still good as before I just stopped to be grateful for it. I find joy from time to time but not like before when I was trained to find the joys in my life, to find all the things that made my life so great and all the things and people that made me happy.
So what can I do to change my new not so great mood which I have all the time lately?
I can started again a gratitude journal. It is easy to write down even on your phone 3 or 5 things for which you are appreciative first if you do not feel grateful for anything. And then after a few days or weeks you will get to that gratitude feeling that is so healing for the mind.
Good luck with your gratitude journal, it will make you see your life in a different more positive perspective! You can make this practice a resolution for 2023.
