Words and Deeds

We all have to go one day,
but before that
we display all sorts of acrobatics,
both verbal and non-verbal,
to learn and earn
to gain name and fame
power, pelf and all...

One may capture for posterity
our words, deeds and voice
in electronic devices,
some may hum our words
and make some beautiful songs,
someone may find answers
to some creepy questions,
someone may even get an idea
to find a lost way or lost love,
and some may inherit luxury,
their only source of happiness...

But once we leave
what is really left
is the imprint on the hearts
we interact during our lifetime
with humility, gratitude and respect,
respect begets respect,
as we see instantly
a sense of delight and satisfaction
on their faces
as also deep inside our hearts,
that only those can relish
who know its value...
