Today, I will be writing on the topic "How To Seek And Build Knowledge From Good Sources."

What Is Knowledge?

According to Wikipedia, knowledge can be defined as awareness of facts or as practical skills, and may also refer to familiarity with objects or situations. Knowledge of facts, also called propositional knowledge, is often defined as true belief that is distinct from opinion or guesswork by virtue of justification.

How To Seek And Build Knowledge From Good Sources

1. Be Curious: Having a curious mind or being curious is the first step in gaining knowledge. A curious mind is filled with insightful questions and actively seeks answers. Take a look at your personality or reflect and see if you are naturally curious about the things around you, your community or anything you happen to come across. The questions you ask determine the kind of answers you receive and they lead you to the path of learning. When a curious mind hits a wall, they seek knowledge and when they find that knowledge, they melt down that wall. Therefore, curiosity is the road to lifelong learning. Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find.

2. Read Books: I have discovered and learned most of the things I know through reading. This blog was inspired by a book. I gain inspiration and knowledge from reading books. If curiosity is the path to learn forever, then reading is the concrete that paves it. Reading is the best way to gain knowledge, whether it is a physical or electronic book. Reading is the gateway skills that makes all other learning possible. When you read, you add a droplet of water to the large ocean of your knowledge. Reading is therapeutic, it relieves stress, builds self confidence and boosts your imaginative thinking.

The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you go.

3. Listen To The World: Knowledge is everywhere. Everything has a story to tell. Knowledge echoes all around us, all you need is to listen. Yes, it's that easy. Simple listen and inhale it. Grow with it. When people speak on important topics, listen with your undivided attention. There's a lot that can be learnt when you listen. There's a lot of difference between listening and hearing. I've learned a great deal by listening, by blending in with the environment and tapping silently from the abundant knowledge. Hear what people are saying, it helps.

Most of the successful people I know are the ones who do more listening than talking.

4. Research: When your mind has been introduced to the vast knowledge and new concepts, the next thing is to make research. This is where the curious mind comes in again. When you read, you are exposed to new words and vocabulary, do you make your research? When you listen to people, you often hear new terms and face new believes, do you make a research? Your individual effort to dig deeper into a subject matter arouses the chief factor of knowledge. If you seek knowledge, you will find it. He who does not research has nothing to teach. Research is formalized curiosity, it is poking and prying with a purpose. It is creating new knowledge.
