Being a rebel differently
I was having a conversation lately with a dear friend about the way she was dealing with the restrictions caused by this pandemic. Not obeying the rules, like wearing a mask, because she was convinced it was not helpful.
By raising her energy and frequency, she was sure she would not be addressed while shopping. Reiki is one of her ways to stay balanced and focused on energy. Within as well outside of her consciousness. Her way to be a more spiritually guided warrior, so to speak.
My response was, I am a rebel differently. When it comes to energy and awareness, we are much alike. We both love to work with the Reiki energy and with crystals. It made me aware again of how different we as individuals are going through this process.
The way we are going through, and the way society expects us to deal with the pandemic. A lot of people are protesting out loud against the restrictions. Yet this is not my way. I never felt the need to go on the barricades, so to speak.
Born in the 50ies, after the war, my parents were mostly busy building a safe and loving surrounding for me and my sisters. They worked side by side for as long as I can remember. They created a wonderful and uplifting family for us. Long before feminism became an item, my mother set the tone.
She showed us how they both worked as equals in their marriage, as well as working together. There were not many parents who were setting this example. Teaching us the importance to be the best version of ourselves.
Encouraging us to study, to be able to support ourselves in society. Not depending on marriage, the cultural idea of a stay home mom is the only way of living as a woman. The encouragement was a strong and powerful energy. It allowed us to be more outspoken in our opinions toward adults, teachers, or other parents.
At least it was for me. I was taught to always be myself. Even if other people or children would not approve of my way of presenting myself. Was it easy? No, it was not, it was challenging for sure.
There was this deep knowing somehow, to be truthful and speak my truth, with dignity as well integrity. Some layer was coming to the surface which related to a past life essence.
Never ever did I want to be blackmailed for something I had done. Being caught in a lie or being pushed into a corner, because you do not want something hidden to come to the surface. Especially when threats were the biggest part of this process. We have seen so many people, especially in high places, being blackmailed for something that had happened in their past.
It is always about power issues. Power plays that are coming from manipulation. So, transparency was an important energy for me throughout my life. As well as the need to have a win-win situation for all parties involved. As a teenager at school, during my work relations, as well as my fellow students.
My desire is to be part of a solution to a problem, which will benefit everyone involved. The Maori way, so to speak. Everyone is equally important, in society and relationships, part of the circle and the wheel of life.
Part of my upbringing as well. Taught by example through my parents and their way of living. In their vision, every human is as important as any other, no matter which role they play in society. So also, to speak my truth, if I was done with politeness.
This enabled me to approach my teachers, colleagues, and my superiors to address issues that were at hand. It was about human dignity and worth. No life is more important than another life. The need to stand up for those who were more vulnerable, being bullied, or having a lack of self-esteem.
The only way we can be of assistance to help another human being is to know they are as much worthy as you are yourself. Every soul is important, in all creation. To lend a hand without being afraid it would backfire or bring you in trouble doing so. We need a society where we are free and able to assist each other without fear of repercussions.
To dare to be yourself, knowing you are worth it. Choosing the way that suits you. Not everyone wants to be on the frontline to protest. There are many ways we can choose to stand up against injustice and greed, manipulations, and abuse of power.
Addressing issues that need to look at, can be done in different ways. To write about it, to show all the different layers underneath the surface. We are spiritual beings, with body-mind, and soul. The holistic way of bringing these aspects together. To bring more awareness and attention to the different paths we can take.
Where healing is needed to create inner peace and balance. To create awareness and consciousness in the way we perceive our inner world. To connect the inner world and outer world. From within, where it all starts. Being a whole human being, the Heart and Soul are connected. Where Love is the Master Key, to a loving connection with each other.
And so, it will be done.
