5D & Beyond Success Story: Week 3
A Journey of Successful Self-Discovery & Healing from Loss
"He's lost. He has no direction and is not working. Maybe you can talk to him. You've always had a good connection with him. He listens to you."
As I processed these words in a one-to-one conversation with a well-intended friend, voicing some family members' concern for my stepson, I responded: "It's not that he listens to me. I listen to him."
I often posed open-ended questions to my stepson when he shared ideas with me.
I asked questions in such a way to help him with self-discovery. This way, he could more clearly see the choice (s) that would be in alignment with what felt "right" for him in his heart. I never told him what to do.
I continued my response to my concerned friend: "He's doing exactly what he needs to do to allow himself to heal. Otherwise, ignoring his pain NOW could manifest as cancer LATER in life as it had with his dad."
My stepson had lost his dad and his long-time love of ten years within the same week. The grief was deep.
My stepson wasn't lost. In fact, he was clearer than ever on the path that would allow himself to heal his broken heart.
Fortunately, my stepson had the financial means to take some time off from working to grieve. Following his father's death, he chose to reconnect with family in Colombia. He embarked on a four-month healing journey of reconnection and rediscovery.
During this pilgrimage, my stepson spent a lot of time in nature, hiked in largely uninhabited areas of the jungles of Colombia, visited with family, and participated in ayahuasca ceremonies to assist himself in purging his grief.
After this four-month journey, my stepson emerged stronger, clearer, and more resilient than ever. His healed heart now emits a radiance that reverberates outwardly.
"Having a broken heart changes you.
Healing from a broken heart changes you more"
~Michael Kane
The inner healing work that my stepson has integrated has generated a new pattern for generations, past and present, where men are revered for honoring themselves, for expressing emotions, and for following their hearts.
Taking the time to do the real "work"—healing within—has provided my stepson with much greater clarity as how to show others to do the same by doing what he loves. He is currently working as a personal trainer where he assists others in improving their physical, emotional, and mental strength.
In peace, love, and joy!
