At zero there's nothing. At one, there's something to begin with. We are always not at zero. We are at one.
What do you have? At most you might assume you have nothing because you haven't taken stick of what you possess. And what you possess isn't the tangible assets. It's the intangible; the idea you carry, the thing you can do any time any place.
What you have might be underdeveloped or unappreciated by you. Or you might not know that you have it until someone shows it to you or untill you recognize it by mistake. And then you know you have it from there. You know it's there. You know it has been there. And yes it has always been there.
When you think you are at zero, then you have nothing to build on. You wait for something from somewhere, and it never comes, unfortunately. When you know you have something small, you have a chance to build upon it and to add it into something bigger, and to add to something from somewhere. And that's how you grow.
It can be as simple as this; do you have your hands, yes. Ears, yes. Eyes, yes. A sound head, yes. Legs, yes. Then, what can you do with your head? You can think of something to do; with your eyes, you can see something to work on; with your ears, you can hear something to provide a solution to; with your hands, you can grab and work on and you go on and on.
You aren't at zero no matter that's what you believe. You are at one. And that's something you can build on.
