Is it on the airplane, at the airport, or in a hotel? All inconceivable to me as these places seem to be transient in nature. Of course, the hospitality industry would argue otherwise. No matter the duration, they provide the conveniences one needs while on the road. But the Covid pandemic has changed everything. Staff shortage and surging revenge travels have clashed and formed the perfect storm. Flight cancellations and delays are common headline news. Airports are the nightmare places for stranded passengers and lost luggages. And hotels' contactless services mean no housekeeping. Lucky if you get a grab-and-go breakfast.
