It takes one step at a time
Going through challenges, people who care about me, are asking how you are doing. My response will be, that I take it one day and one step at a time. This sounds way easier than actually sticking to it because everything that used to be normal is not now. Like right now, while I try to write this topic, my normal routine of typing with two hands is changed into a huge challenge.
It forces me to a higher state of focus and awareness. Not being able to use my right hand, my brain had to make a shift again, to gain momentum in my left hand. Not just my brain has to adjust, this involves adjustment of my entire being.
Every aspect of my being is on high alert and affected. This causes issues that need to be addressed. So, what about taking it one step at a time? The desire to write is complicated by a lack of speed in my typing, with more errors as usual and a left hand recovering from surgery seeking for balance. So, I came to this realization that whatever we need to change, no matter what, takes one step at a time.
Either material or emotional, physical, or spiritual, every now moment is about taking it one step at a time. Including our behavior, our mental patterns, and our belief system. There is no choice in the matter, doing two things at a time. It will always be one thing at a time.
I guess there is an organism that is able to multitask as well, multidimensional. Yet that is not how I perceive my reality in this material world. Sure, we can do a lot of things that make it look like we are multitasking, able to do more than one step at a time. It is for good reason we advise others or ourselves to take it one step at a time.
Usually, we use it in situations that need more attention to become aware. Or when we want to create something and want to go too fast, what to think about installing things without following the plan or schedule? Even our own body needs to follow a certain plan to make them function.
To find balance, we also need healing work when it comes to any kind of wound, either physical or emotional, mental, or spiritual. For all relates to each other. There lies the need to be aligned together. When it comes to healing, there is also some kind of schedule of steps. You cannot clear some emotional disturbance without looking at its root cause.
Whatever might have been inflicted that caused a dis-balance, affects all areas. So, we can only take it one step at a time to define what it is that needs healing first. Cause and effect. Sometimes it goes back through our ancestors and ancient lineages. Certain patterns find their way from generation to generation.
Healing also means awareness and learning, because we can learn to become conscious of our own internal patterns. Yet, this needs an act of determination and willingness to look deeper within. That is the first step, coming to the realization all is connected. Every emotion we have has a cause, or root, to be discovered. This is not always deeply rooted, yet sometimes it is like the peeling-off layers.
To know something does not automatically mean you are ready to act on it. Most of the time, there is resistance to diving in deeper. Mainly because we have the tendency to avoid pain, on any level. Only if the wound is a constant factor and needs your attention, the choice to deal with it is up to us. It takes one step at a time to decide what to do, which way to go, or where to go.
This time I cannot avoid the pain and not take a closer look caused by the surgery. it brings up so many challenges in every layer and area of my being. Physical pain is one of my triggers that makes me feel vulnerable as well, as losing my independence. It also is a tool for what it brings to the surface. Using this insight, allows me to take a deeper look at what is at hand.
In my case, literally, with the surgery on my left hand this summer and now my right hand. Then I realized something. My dominant hand is my right hand, and the left side is my male energy line, which is strongly developed being proactive, and analytic. My left hand is the female energy line, which stands for being receptive, open, and nourishing.
To me, it always has been easier to give than to receive. So, what happened internally, the need to balance out both equally is a lesson to be learned. Already conscious of it, I have made many steps throughout my life to go through challenges and experiences. What I also learned is, that my life challenges are always been triggered through pain.
It is my way to take it one step at a time, breaking the shelf so to speak. The cracks reveal new insights I can address if I choose to. It is my wake-up call so to speak to take it up to the next level. This time, it is all about alignment. Not just my 2 hands again, yet also what they represent to me on various levels. The most challenging process in this is using emotions as stepping stones to new awareness.
To do so, I can only take it as it comes. No forcing the issues, for that will only cause more resistance. No controlling of what is to come, to have a false sense of being on top of it. This will only block the flow of energy. Not being passive-aggressive or proactive in the desire of moving through the process as fast as possible.
This means, literally, taking one step at a time in this present moment. My body as well as my emotions are my teachers, to learn and grow in their own time. Enjoying the peaceful moments and allowing the issues that need to be addressed to bring in healing. On all levels, one step at a time.
And so, it will be done.
