Transitionning: Detoxing your mindset

Aug 5

As much as we can take in; keep strong and roll with the punches, somehow, it's time to reset our minds. Just to be able to live and enjoy this journey called life just a little bit longer.  There's going to be more circumstances along the way; more obstacles, setbacks, delays, frustrations beyond our control… and things will eventually change. But we may have to slow down in the process. We may fall off track. And it's okay. Life won't stop there.

Happiness comes in small, bite size, moments…
Happiness (noun): Finding your whole in one (opportunity)…

I Want to start a conversation today on finding our wholeness in one…

I'll always be greatful to gourmet food for teaching me this: food is not just about how much you can eat. But gourmet food seems, to me, to be about how much you know about the food you eat, and only pick to eat the food that keeps you healthy; and makes you whole?

Not all foods that fill your body up temporarily will ultimately make you whole. So it is in life. What you are hungry for in your life,  will either drain you; or it will keep you healthy and whole. My question is… How much time do you usually need before you realize when something is draining you instead of making you whole?

I don't mean to sound too deep about this issue today but… Ever been hungry for something (job, relationships, ) that left you tired,  guilty/ empty/ powerless? Like that feeling you feel, after a full meal of eating too much of anything and not getting enough of what you expected?
Remember that feeling you get when, as soon as you have what you ve been longing to have, or as soon you lose the hope of ever having it, you come to realize it is really not worth the hype?

It's time to detox our lives.

It's time to reset our mind on what food is and what food does…  Well, not litterally. Some food nourish the body, some thé mind, others are good for the soul…

I'm here to encourage some of us today about the journey. Today is your reminder that there's joy in living life not as a race, but as a  journey indeed. And it took some of us, few stops and u-turns along the way to realize that.

As much as we can take in; keep strong and roll with the punches, somehow, it's time to reset our minds. Just to be able to live and enjoy this journey called life just a liitle bit longer.  There's going to be more circumstances along the way; more obstacles, setbacks, delays, frustrations beyond our control…and things will eventually change. But we may have to slow down in the process every now and then. We may fall off track. And it's okay. Life won't stop there.

My encouragement for you today is to make the right decision to live fully, healthy, happily, just a little bit longer, by  keeping yourself educated and practising on what's good for you.  Nobody can teach you life, the way only life can. All you have to do is lose your own directions. And clear your mind. And allow for life to bring on the "food for thought". You may not always like what you eat in life, but make room for what keeps you healthy and whole. And open yourself up to enjoy the opportunity as it always comes, for the unique lessons that life brings.

Only you know how much you can take. Even when time gets tough,  you can make a decision to reset. You can take the time you need to learn more from the "food for thought" that life hands down to you,  and forget about yesterday' s bread.  We need Today's bread for us to stay healthy and whole on today. When you let go more of what's not good for you, you teach yourself a new diet.  Something magical happens: you grow. We grow; not just for the sake of learning, but for the sake of enjoying. More Life.

Who needs so many things in life, when you can find one thing, that means everything to you ? For instance,  I didn't know for instance that tomatoes could taste so good in so many different ways until i educated myself, and started preserving it! Just like some froods, fruits, vegetables have more superpowers than others,  we  could know more and use them to heal.

Do you know your superpowers ?  I know you have at least one, this morning, while reading this (thank you!): you have knowledge. Knowledge is power. Are you using that power on yourself to get well. To get better?

When you feel frustrated that there's so many things in life that you can't change or control,  Remember this: All things are possible. There is more than one way to enjoy life. You can also enjoy life being at peace with yourself and others.

Let one thing (few of the finest things) be your whole in life and enjoy it to the fullest. If you haven't found that one thing in life that makes you and keeps you whole, keep searching. But know that everything that you run into, in the midst of searching for that one thing that makes you whole, is temporary.

Enjoy your beautiful day ….
