Pizza Bianca with Hot Smoked Salmon

Tomato based pizzas are delicious but for something different try our Pizza Bianca (white pizza) with hot smoked salmon. The combination of smoked salmon, crème fraiche and spinach works beautifully in this recipe and will elevate your Friday night pizza to something a little bit special

Ingredients (makes one medium size pizza)

1 pizza base , homemade or store bought

2 tablespoons of creme fraiche

3/4 of a cup of mozzarella cheese

1 hot smoked salmon fillet, flaked

1 tablespoon of fresh chopped chives

Handful of spinach leaves (to serve)

Half a lemon (optional)

Cracked pepper

Method

Pre-heat oven to 200C. Spoon one tablespoon of crème fraiche on to pizza base and smooth out leaving about 1 inch around the diameter. Top with flaked salmon and chives and top with mozzarella.

Dollop with remaining crème fraiche. Lay pizza on baking paper on a oven proof rack and bake until cheese is golden and bubbling (approximately 12-15 minutes). Remove from oven, top with spinach leaves, a squeeze of lemon juice and cracked pepper. Enjoy!
