Tonight we celebrate our August New Moon and I am so excited that it is in Virgo. Virgo brings this wonderful energy of clarity, control, and organization. This energy reminds me of "everything having its place." If you are someone that enjoys cleaning your house, you know that it's so much easier when everything has a home. Then you can just put things back where they belong. Where it gets complicated is when you are trying to clean something up, and you have no idea where anything goes. That's what I feel like the energy has been for the past couple of weeks. I feel like someone has dropped a couple of bins of things in the middle of my floor that is making it a bit hard to navigate. Some things that I pick up are good...some not so much, some I'm not even sure what they are. All of them I have to figure out how to make them work in my life. Hopefully, that makes sense! With the energy coming in tonight, you should find that things start to make a bit more sense. At least when you pick up pieces, you are going to know what they are, where they should go and you can maybe get a plan going for how to get there. Virgo is amazing at bringing you information. Virgo is also going to help you to prioritize your health and well-being. I have a huge spotlight being shown on physical health as well as mental health. They go hand in hand and I know a lot of us don't have all the resources that we need available. If you are struggling with your health, this New Moon energy will help. Ask for what you want with the spell above. Don't forget to advocate for yourself though. If something is bothering you get it checked out. If you are someone that is struggling with mental well-being please reach out to others. If someone reaches out to you, please make sure you listen. So many of us are under a lot of stress and there is nothing wrong with needing some help. For those of you who have digestion issues you may find this Moon particularly helpful. Listen to your body. What are you craving? You may find that the things your body is asking for are the things that you truly need. Just be sure that it's not asking for all sugar products that can indicate that you have a vitamin deficiency. For instance did you know that if you are craving chocolate a lot it may mean that you are low on magnesium? If you are noticing patterns talk to your doctor it may help you to gain a better understanding of your personal health and what your body needs.
Virgo has the most wonderful Earth energy. It's so beautifully grounding. You can add to this energy by making it a point to spend some extra time outside. We finally got some much needed rain here in New England and it was cool enough to take a walk and the smells were just blissful. The smell of the wet grass and dirt was just amazing. Instantly grounding for me. Look for ways that you can connect more with this Earth energy by working in the garden, walking on a beach bare foot, going out to stomp in rain puddles...anything you can think of that helps you to connect.
One thing you want to watch out for with this energy is overthinking things, allowing yourself to think about things too much or obsessing about things. Paper or a virtual notepad is your friend. Write things down. If something that you can work on comes up, work on it. If not write it down. Don't carry it with you or you are going to find that you are carrying too much and it can get exhausting. Also don't get caught up in being perfect? This energy can like to help you get clean and organized and that can be great. However it doesn't mean that you can wave that magick wand and have everything perfect. Little steps. Prioritize what is most important to you. Really really mind your mental health this month. Virgo can bring clarity and be motivating but it can also make you overthink things if you aren't careful.
