Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, yesterday, has released the notification for the recruitment of the post of Probationary Officer in participating banks. This year this notification has come with a good number of vacancies which has been a big concern for aspirants in the past few notifications.

The news of privatisation of banks and less number of vacancies are making students unmotivated but now we have a great chance to show our potential of preparation and secure a job in public sector banks.

We can turn this opportunity into our favour. This is the time when aspirants should gear up their preparation and do some extra efforts. In this article we are going to talk about IBPS PO Notification and its vacancies which have become the centre of attention for aspirants.

Important Dates:

Online registration begins - 2nd August 2022 and last till 22nd August 2022

Prelims exam date - October 2022

Mains exam date - November 2022

Interview date- January/ February 2023

Final Allotment - April 2023

Eligibility Criteria:

Age:

Minimum 20 years and Maximum 30 years as on 1st August 2022

Age relaxation as per norms is available.

Educational Qualification:

A candidate must have a graduation degree from a university/institute recognised by the Government of India.
The final results of the candidate's graduation should be declared on or before 22nd August 2022.
Final year students are not eligible if their results have not come on or before 22nd August 2022.

Vacancy Details:

This year IBPS has released a better number of vacancies in comparison to the last few notifications. Even though five banks have still not announced their vacancies ,the number is pretty good. We can expect more vacancies after including those banks.

There are a total of 6432 vacancies ( except five banks' vacancies) in which 2596 for unreserved category, 616 for EWS ,1741 OBC, 996 SC and 483 vacancies for ST category students.

We can expect 8 to 9k vacancies in upcoming days.

Last Years Vacancies

If we talk about the 2021-22 vacancies of IBPS PO recruitment, there were a total of 4135 vacancies.

In the 2020-21 notification of IBPS PO there were a total of 3517 vacancies.

In the 2019-20 notification of IBPS PO there were a total number of 4336 vacancies.

In comparison to the last few years' trend of vacancies, this year the number is great and there are expectations of getting more vacancies in the upcoming few days.
