Monkey Lord was in a hissy fit today as he wanted to know why an employee was left out of annual review for increment and bonuses. By being away for the last 6 months from work, this item was followed up by Ms Conniving.
When I looked through the facts of the issue, it is true that this employee missed the qualifying period. But my basis to heads of department was that they had a right to adjust subject to them informing Minion in charge.
There were email correspondences and the person who left it wide open did not inform or notify Monkey Lord to do an adjustment.
My style would have been to make a note in the register and flag it to Monkey Lord when doing the review. Unfortunately, Ms Conniving in her defensive manner, insisted there was no wrong doing on Minion part. She failed to understand the need to deliver th extra mile service and stated that since Monkey Lord omitted it, it is his fault.
Ms Conniving has lots to learn and if she feels she is entitled to do what she wants and is the Lord God Almight, then I will have some sights to see. Admittedly I did not manage Monkey Lord well when he ranted at me as I did not update self on th facts.
At the end of the day, my view is simple. Lords can be forever right and I honestly cannot be bothered to fight for "who is right or who is wrong" – It does not matter to me if Monkey Lord thought my department was in the wrong. When the truth prevails, he will know and he will cool off and be nicer next time.

Eunuch wanted me to be healthy and happy always but my honest reply to him was that like every minion, I need to subsist. I believe Eunuch is happier leaving our fold and is new territory. I wish him every success in his new career and that may happiness be his as well.
As for Ms Conniving, she has lots more salt to taste and be a nicer soul!
