Union minister Nitin Gadkari has given a statement that green fuel will stop the usage in need of petrol in vehicles in the country after five years with confidence.

Nitin Gadkari gave the statement of possibility to stop usage of petrol at award ceremony in Maharashtra's Akola. He was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Science by Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth.

Speech of Nitin Gadkari:

During the speech at the event, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways pointed a strong path for the use of green hydrogen, ethanol, and other green fuels.

Green hydrogen can be availed at Rs 70 per kg and can be induced from deep well water.

With full faith and confidence Mr. Gadkari stated that petrol will disappear from the country after five years. All the cars and scooters will either be on green hydrogen, ethanol flex-fuel, CNG, or LNG.

What is the green hydrogen?

Green Hydrogen is determined as hydrogen made by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen.

Electric Vehicle policy:

Chhattisgarh government has also recently brought out with its EV Policy for 2022 and electric vehicles can be made up in the state.

FAME policy: Government of India has already introduced Electric Vehicle policy named 'FAME policy'. The policy Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India has the very long term vision and ambition.

All these goals will lead not only to reduce the spending on driving vehicles but also help protecting the environment, which is one of the most important needs.

Nitin Gadkari also requested to agriculture researchers and experts to give their efforts on increasing agricultural growth from 12 per cent to 20 per cent in the next five years.

Government of India is ready to guide and train the farmers of the country for emphasizing the need to them with new research and technology.
