"If a man, who says he loves you, won't tell you the details of a private conversation between him and another woman you can be sure he is not protecting your heart. He is protecting himself and the women he has feelings for. Wise women simply see things as they are, not as their low self-esteem allows." - Shannon L. Alder
Those with nothing to hide, hide nothing.
That means it should be OK to ask questions.
A secure, honest man won't be threatened by those questions. He will know it is important to communicate that you are the most important person in his world, and that he has no secrets from you.
This is especially important if you've been betrayed – and have good reason to be suspicious now.
Don't allow his irritation, discomfort, or negative reactions to put you off. In fact, that is a reason to be suspicious.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to know the truth.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to know where you stand.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to protect your heart and your relationship.
In fact, you have the right to protect your heart and your relationship.
