Team Ambitiousbaba are here with a Current Affairs Special Series. In this series, candidates will be introduced to current affairs topics daily, which will not only improve their general awareness but also will ensure that the candidates do not lack in any current affairs topic. Today's Current Affairs topic is "All about Mr. Shinzo Abe"

Japan's longest-serving Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot at a rally while campaigning for elections to Japan's upper house and declared died an hour after shooting on 8 July 2022.

Shinzo Abe had resigned from his post as Prime Minister on August 28, 2020 with apologizing to the people of Japan.

About Shinzo Abe:

Born: 21 September 1954

After resigning from his first skimp as Prime Minister in 2007, he received a rare second term in December 2012 and was re-elected in 2014 and 2017. With this period of time he succeeded to give stability to a nation desperately seeking it.

Abenomics:

Shinzo Abe gave signature strategy of 'Abenomics' which depended on a mix of bold quantitative easing, fiscal spending, and structural reforms. This policy managed to ignite growth in a low growth economic landscape at least initially. Admiring work on India-Japan ties:

Shinzo Abe was a very special Japanese leader for India. His lovingness for India and his vision for India–Japan bonds have been central to his vision of the Indo-Pacific.

He had visited India during his first term and took the bilateral ties a new momentum by becoming the first Japanese Prime Minister to visit India thrice.

His relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and their confluent worldviews allowed India–Japan ties to touch new heights in recent years. It was under Abe's leadership the two nations finally agreed to sign the civil nuclear pact in 2016.

Shinzo Abe wills behind a beautifully built legacy of a rare breed of Japanese statesmen who shaped not only the Japanese domestic environment but also managed to have a significant imprint on global strategy which is a truly remarkable achievement.
