A few months ago, I discovered my closet Bed, Bath, and Beyond store is closing. When it was in it's last days open, I did some store closing shopping and got a few items I needed. Despite this, seeing the store close made me sad. The store is special to me because I have many memories of my friends and I shopping there for our first apartments and wedding registry lists for people we knew. I remember walking up and down the aisles with my friends, talking about what we'd ask on our wedding registry if we did get married and what we'd put in our homes if we had an endless supply of money.
Even though I'm sad to see it go, I'm not that surprised. After the pandemic, things have changed in the shopping mall where the store used to be located at. It was only a matter of time until it closed down. Still, it stuck around much longer than I thought it would.
In honor of the store I used to browse, and sometimes shopped at, I wanted to show photographs I took of what it looked like when it was still open and what it looks like now that is closed.
