In the second qualifier or playoff or 73rd match of IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the match by 7 wickets with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) due to a great century by Jos Butler 106* (60). Jos Butler made 4 centuries in the IPL 2022 which is a great achievement. After winning this match, RR reached the IPL 2022 final and will play with Gujrat Titans (GT) on May 29th 2022. RCB was out of the IPL 2022 final and not reached the final after losing this match.
Earlier RR won the toss and chose to bowl first thus RCB first batted and made a low score of 157/8 in 20 overs due to great bowled by Prasidh Krishna 3/22 (4), Obed McCoy 3/23 (4), and Trent Boult 1/28 (4). Rajat Patidar 58 (42), Faf du Plessis 25 (27), and Glenn Maxwell 24 (13) were good batting from the RCB side. After this inning, RCB set a target of 158 runs in 20 overs for RR to win this important match.
During chasing, RR loses 3 wickets, reached the target in only 18.1 overs, and won the match by 7 wickets with RCB due to great batted by Jos Butler 106* (60), Sanju Samson 23 (21), and Yashavi Jaiswal 21 (13). Both Josh Hazlewood 2/23 (4), and Wanindu Hasaranga 1/26 (4) were good bowling from the RCB side.
