In the 63rd match of IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the match by 24 runs with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this match, RR was moved up to the 2nd position with 16 points and a better net run rate as compared with LSG. LSG was moved down to the 3rd position with 16 points and a low net run rate as compared with RR after losing this match.

Earlier RR won the toss and chose to bat first and made a good score of 178/6 in 20 overs due to good batted by Yashavi Jaiswal 41 (29), Devdutt Padikkal 39 (18), and Sanju Samson 32 (24). Ravi Bishnoi 2/31 (4), Ayush Badoni 1/5 (1) Jason Holder 1/12 (2), and Avesh Khan 1/20 (3) were good bowling from the LSG side. After this inning, RR set a good target of 179 runs in 20 overs for LSG to win this match.

During chasing, LSG scored 154/8 in 20 overs and lose this match by 24 runs with RR due to good bowled by Trent Boult 2/18 (4), Prasidh Krishna 2/32 (4), Obed McCoy 2/35 (4), Ravichandran Ashwin 1/24 (4), and Yuzvendra Chahal 1/42 (4). Deepak Hooda 59 (39), Marcus Stoinis 27 (17), and Krunal Pandya 25 (23) were good batting from the LSG side.

Trent Boult (RR), 2/18 (4) & 17* (9), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his good performance in bowling and batting.
