In the 70th match of IPL 2022, Punjab Kings (PBKS) won the match by 5 wickets with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) due to great performance in batting and bowling. Both PBKS and SRH are out of the Playoffs of the IPL 2022. After winning this match, PBKS was moved up to the 6th position with 14 points in the IPL 2022 points table. SRH was placed at the 8th position with 12 points in the IPL 2022 points table after losing this match.
Earlier SRH won the toss and chose to bat first and made a low score of 157/8 in 20 overs due to great bowled by Harpreet Brar 3/26 (4), Nathan Ellis 3/40 (4), and Kagiso Rabada 1/38 (4). Abhishek Sharma 43 (32), Romario Shepherd 26* (15), and Washington Sundar 25 (19) were good batting from the SRH side. After this inning, SRH set a target of 158 runs in 20 overs for PBKS to win this match.
During chasing, PBKS loses 5 wickets and won the match easily by 5 wickets with SRH due to good batted by Liam Livingstone 49* (22), Shikhar Dhawan 39 (32), and Jonny Bairstow 23 (15).
