Jesus wasn't afraid or "too good" to be with the sinners and the outcasts of society.
He preached the Gospel to the poor. He touched and healed the lepers, the lame, the blind, the deaf, the crazy (the demon possessed) etc.
He touched them, and He let them touch Him (Mark 5:25-32).
He saw them when many chose not to see them. He had compassion on them when many were unmerciful and unloving.
That's why in my relationship with Jesus, I'm learning to be more authentic and transparent. I'm no longer hiding those broken and depraved places within myself from Him.
No, when I go boldly before His throne to obtain mercy and grace in my time of need, I'm bringing those things with me--into the light of His presence.
I'm confessing and repenting of those things and asking for healing and help to overcome them.
I'm going to be as desperate to touch Jesus as the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-32).
I'm going to be as unrelenting, bold, and faith-filled as the Gentile woman who came and worshipped Jesus, saying, "Lord, help me!" (Matthew 15:25).
I'm going to be as humble as the Roman Centurion who asked Jesus to heal his paralyzed servant (Matthew 8:5-13) and Jairus, one of the rulers of the synagogue, who asked Jesus to heal his dying daughter.
I encourage you to be just as desperate, unrelenting, bold, humble, and faith-filled when you go after Jesus for your healing--whatever it may be.
Believe and be encouraged! You are loved!
