Have you ever looked around at the people in your life and felt dissatisfied and uninspired? I have joined different communities and none made me feel the way I felt when I first joined the Girls for Girls space.

At first I was an outsider looking in, wondering how I can join this group of powerful and like minded women. I had never met any of them, but from the topics they talked about, how they encouraged and supported each other, I felt that I had found my people, My Tribe.

Girls for Girls is a space where you can be vulnerable, authentic, and free from judgement. These women are not perfect and they are not afraid to admit it, share their stories, and short comings. They make you feel at home, comfortable in your own skin and know that you are not alone in the challenges you face in life as a woman.
If I was to write about all the things I have learnt as a mentee in these past few months, it would not fit in one article. The sessions, the meet-ups, experiences and my ability to relate to all that we have shared as Girls for Girls. It would have to be published as a book.

I have learnt a lot and yet to break certain habits. Every time I complete a session with Girls for Girls, I am reminded of the woman I want to become and it sets me back on track. I really needed this in my life.
The mentors are so wonderful and welcoming. The few times we have met, I have gotten hugs, life gems, and gifts. It is always the little things, the gestures of love and kindness spread in this group is beyond heartwarming.

However much I have graduated from being a mentee, the learning and mentoring does not end here, I am yet to learn a lot more. I cannot wait for the journey ahead.
