DC was out of the Playoffs and was placed at the 5th position with 14 points in the IPL 2022 points table after losing this match. Due to DC losing this match, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) reached the playoffs and was placed at the 4th position with 16 points in the IPL 2022 points table. Gujrat Titans (GT), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were already in the Playoffs.
