In the 59th match of IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians (MI) won the match by 5 wickets with CSK due to great performance in bowling. After winning this match, MI remained placed at the 10th or last position with only 6 points in the IPL 2022 points table. CSK also remained placed at the 9th position with 8 points in the IPL 2022 points table after losing this match.
Earlier MI won the toss and chose to bowl first thus CSK first batted and was all out at only 97 runs in 16 overs due to great bowled by Daniel Sams 3/16 (4), Kumar Kartikeya 2/22 (3), and Riley Meredith 2/27 (3). Rinku Singh 1/5 (1), and Jasprit Bumrah 1/12 (3). Only MS Dhoni 36* (33), was batting well from the CSK side. After this inning, CSK set a target of only 98 runs in 20 overs for MI to win this match.
During chasing, MI loses 5 wickets and won the match easily by 5 wickets with CSK due to good batted by Tilak Varma 34* (32), Rohit Sharma 18 (14), and Hrithik Shokeen 18 (23). Mukesh Chowdhary 3/23 (4), Simarjeet Singh 1/22 (4), and Moeen Ali 1/17 (1.5) were good bowling from the CSK side.
