I love salad. And I love salad dressing! But the one teensy little problem with glorious dressings is that they are typically loaded with an abundance of unhealthy fat, not to speak of processed dairy and other unwanted preservatives. I have wanted to wean myself off of these dressings, especially the ones filled with milk products, but I have never been one to garnish my salad with a little olive oil and vinegar. That all changed, however, when I designed this amazing Honey Dijon Vinaigrette! It is super simple, only contains a handful of ingredients, is full of flavor, and adds an amazing zing to those loaded salads. Here's to your health and nutrition (and your taste buds)!
For the Honey Dijon Vinaigrette:
1/3 cup olive oil
4 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 Tablespoon honey Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon minced garlic
dash of salt
dash of black pepper
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a half-pint sized mason jar. Covering tightly with a lid, shake very well until all ingredients are blended together. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator. Shake between each use for best results. Enjoy!
