Circular Economy in Action – Part 4

In the last part of the Circular Economy in Action in Iceland FutureCast series we talk to James Hall, Development Manager at Stolt Sea Farm about the highly original way their fish farm operates in the Reykjanes peninsula. What is interesting to note during the conversation is that by creating a favorable environment, the fish grows to be 3 times larger than what is found in nature and since it is in a controlled environment high quality food products are used to farm the fish. Even more important is the timing question. They got the timing right to invest in this venture in Iceland. It is one more story of how circular concepts were in action in Iceland long before circular economy was a thing. Startup Iceland started in 2012 and it was a very interesting time in Iceland.
