Introduction

We are officially a quarter into the year, which is why I thought I would take a moment to look back and roundup 2022 so far. As many of you know, I love a good roundup, as I always believe that I haven't done much until I sit down and reflect.

I highly suggest reflecting on your month/year so far, as it is a great way to appreciate the things you have accomplished that you might have missed.

Personal achievements and events

This section will briefly discuss what I have done in my personal life so far in 2022.

Career

In March, I moved on to personal branding to create a stronger online presence on my personal accounts. I find it much harder to post on my personal accounts than The Yorkshire Dreamer account, so please let me know if you have any tips on what to post on your personal account.

Wellbeing

While it might not seem like a huge accomplishment, it is to me. I've cut down the amount of fizzy pop I have daily. I am now down to two 330ml cans a day, which is a significant achievement for me and my teeth.

I've also kept up with an exercise routine, and I exercise three times a week, along with morning and evening stretches every day. While it might be small, it is a start, and that's all I am aiming for at the moment - progress, no matter how small.

The home-cooked meals and meal planning are still going strong, but I am getting bored with some recipes.

General

The main news of 2022 I want to share is that I am going to be an Auntie in August for the first time! My sister is pregnant, and I am so excited to be an Auntie. I am hoping to be the cool Auntie the kid looks up to, but I'll probably be the one that embarrasses them the most.

My partner and I finally donated all the clothes and good quality knick-knacks we had in boxes in the hallway and disposed of some old electronics that were taking up space. It felt good to have a little clear out.

We also binged watched Upload in March and started watching season 2 of Bridgerton. I also went to see a production of Macbeth at Leeds Playhouse in March, and the performance was outstanding!

Other activities include going bowling and to an all-day arcade with friends.

Blogging Results

Unfortunately, my blogging statistics haven't been the greatest recently, but it does mean I can improve on them! While they might not be the best, I am still proud of how far I've come.

WordPress

Total WordPress followers: 514

Total all-time views: 9,364

Views in March: <500

Blog posts scheduled in March: 2

Blog posts scheduled in 2022: 8

As you can see, not great results, but at least I can improve on these statistics.

Twitter

Unlike WordPress, my Twitter account is doing a bit better; plus, I love the conversations I get to have on Twitter. I have started to schedule my promotional tweets for my blog posts, which contributes to increasing tweet impressions. Scheduling tweets has also provided me with more time to engage and write in the moment tweets.

Instagram

I am not placing too much emphasis on Instagram, as it doesn't work for my blog, but I do like having it around.

Pinterest

Now, Pinterest is an account that I need to work on, but I always overwhelm myself before starting. I would sit down and tell myself to create X amount of pins, and if I don't, well, I can't schedule them until they are all done.

April 2022 and beyond

There are a few events I am looking forward to in April, such as the Leeds Record Fair, The Science of psychedelics talk at The Wardrobe and the Sausage and Cider Festival at The Royal Armouries in Leeds. I am also looking forward to dog sitting for my parents at some point in April. Hopefully, I will be able to obtain a job interview, at least this month, so do keep your fingers crossed for me.

In terms of wellbeing, I am going to carry out exercising three times a week, but I do want to incorporate daily walks into my routine since the weather is getting nicer. I will also be on the lookout for new recipes to try, as my partner and I are getting a bit bored of what we currently keep cooking.

Social media for my blog

For Twitter, I will continue to schedule my promotional tweets for my blog posts, engaging more, and I aim to share more content by other bloggers. I will still be casually posting on Instagram, but I am not putting too much time into that, as I want to focus more on Pinterest. I will be starting small with Pinterest and scheduling one pin a day before building on that when I have more time.

On the blog in April

I've already posted one blog post in April, which you can check out here, but there is still more to come. Here are some blog posts I'm working on for April that you can expect to see soon.
