This week was not as slow as last week's workload. I was able to do new things and learn as well!
I created my usual Monday raffle post and scheduled it a couple days beforehand, but I also created a new post for a giveaway. The only thing I discussed with my supervisor was the giveaway prize and the method of interaction, but I was in charge of creating the slogan, caption, and outreach. This post is supposed to help students interact with the ASC and have them stop by to view our new wall decal this semester.
I also got to work on a smaller project where I had to create an outline for certain testing dates. I needed to provide a link that would lead students to a testing registration form, but I didn't want to include a long link. This is where I learned how to create QR codes; they truly are life savers! I will definitely keep this tool in mind when working on other projects that require te QR codes.
Finally, I met with Wesleyan's Marketing and Communications department where we discussed a new project regarding student testimonials at the ASC. For this project, I am in charge of reaching out to students and asking them to partake in our testimonials. This is not something specifically related to social media, but it does give me experience in outreaching and networking.
