Real love isn't chocolates and roses on Valentine's Day.
It isn't meals out at fancy restaurants.
It isn't being told that you're the most beautiful, and most desirable, woman in the world.
That's not the definition of real love.
It may be nice - but it's not real love.
Instead, real love always looks for, and finds, the best in you.
It values you for you.
It treats you with respect.
It is there for you on your good days and on your bad days.
Real love doesn't want some kind of fantasy.
It expects you to be human, and to have struggles and flaws.
Something to Think About
But do you know what matters even more than this?
It is you offering yourself this kind of love.
It is you loving you.
It is you liking you.
It is you being kind to, and being there for, you.
It's you showing up for you in the good times and the bad.
And it's you going after the things in life you want.
Not because you've been told that: 'You ought to love yourself'.
But because you truly know you deserve this kind of love.
That is the definition of real love.
"Self love doesn't mean that everyone will treat you the way you deserve to be treated. It means that you won't let them change the way you see yourself; nor will you stick around for them to destroy you."
