Liberals will give "points" to someone for being black or Hispanic, gay, lesbian, trans, or whatever. These "points" might outweigh their positions on some issues because liberals value the "street cred" they get from it, virtue signaling is a real thing.

Conservatives tend to not care. At all. They'll straight up ignore the rainbow paraphernalia and ask, "What's your position on abortion? On guns? What will you do to my taxes?" They don't care about your sexuality but if its flaunted that you're different in front of their kids, it'll trigger a conversation that they might not want to have right then, so they might avoid you not because they "hate" you, but because their children might not be mentally ready to process that right now.
