It's already Valentine's day again . In general I don't "celebrate" Valentine's day,- but that's not totally true. I have celebrate this day in one or another way during the years But now at days one of the reasons for that is I'm actually not "putting all my energy" in Valentine's day is because I'm single .
When my kids was younger I gave them a tiny attention in Valentine's day. It could be a tiny teddy bear or just chocolate or something else . My kids will always be a kind of my Valentines, but I'm not given them so much attention with small, sweet gifts on this day anymore .
When I was married, many, many years ago, my ex husband and me was a bit good to give each other some kind of attention at this day. It could be a sweet gift or we went out for a dinner or something else. I don't remember all the different things we did on valentine's day anymore . But I liked that we actually gave each other a tiny bit extra attention this day,- even I know "love" shouldn't just be "celebrated" one "special" day during the year, but more and less during the daily life.
When I did "date" the Spanish policeman some years ago we did put a rose to each other in each other patio. That was also a bit sweet .
I like Valentine's day, also when I'm single and I know nothing special is going to happen this day in "the name of" Valentine". I'm not sure why I like Valentine's day, but it's something romantic and a bit charming with the day. (And believe it or not,- but I'm actually a romantic soul)
I have also experienced to be "dropped" from a date on Valentine's day too, and if I should choose I choose then that nothing special in "the name of Valentine" happen instead of getting a text that the date is off .
And there's dates on Valentine's day I actually don't want to think to much about, because it wasn't worth using the time in the date. But that's a part of the life .
This year, today, it's going to be just a very normal day without any special romantic attention in the air,- and that's fine . It's a nice day anyway . And I'm also getting more ready to start dating again....not today or next week, or probably not next month either,- but I'm more ready to start dating again one day there in the future then I have been before,- and that's feels actually a kind of good . So maybe next year there will be some romantic attention in the air in my life on Valentine's day?

A rose from my patio
I like Valentine's day,- even today when I'm single and know there will be no romantic attention in the air in my life today . Still I think there's something charming and romantic with the Valentine's day .
