TOPIC: THE SPIRIT WORSHIP

TEXT: JOHN 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (KJV)

You need to understand that spiritual worship is the desire of God. God longed to have the generation of men who would have an unbroken, unaltered, and unhindered relationship with Him. Such that regardless of time, place, race, qualification, or position, they can maintain the connection he had with them and they have with him.

The Apostles had this understanding and they communicate this truth to us who are born again, filled with the spirit of God for us to live with the knowledge of the truth that we have a yoked living with the Father of grace.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. (1John 1:1-3)

They reiterated that all their experiences with Jesus, who by the revelation they were able to recognize as Christ the Son of the living God and also witnessed his crucifixion and ascension and the truth about the Holy Spirit sent from heaven as the promise of the Father to fill them with power to walk the new life in Christ (all these) was to establish that their fellowship has always been with the Father and the son Jesus Christ. Though Jesus had ascended on high their spiritual worship is now a reality. The Holy Spirit in them, their unity with Christ and God, and fellowship in the spirit.

This exact picture is our reality too. They had written this message not only for us to understand the beauty of our spiritual worship but that our joy may be full. Hallelujah! Your worship in the spirit and by the Spirit in you is God's desire fulfilled. Continue therein!

PRAYER

Thank you, Father. I recognize the blessing of the Spirit conferred on me through faith in Christ Jesus. I do not trivialize the grace of God, I am a true worshipper, I live the life of the spirit and I give glory to God for the benefit of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name. Amen
