Favorite Quote: "We want to keep our kids safe, but part of keeping them safe is teaching them to discern for themselves" (49).

My Impressions: Fueled by the global pandemic and my mom's battle with cancer, I committed to donating blood regularly this past year. Unfortunately, my iron levels have been steadily dropping over the past several months, to the point where I can either start taking iron supplements or find another way to get free t-shirts. One of the perks I've enjoyed even more than the free shirts has been the $10 gift cards (a local incentive for donating blood), which I've been using up until now to fund my book habit. As with a few other books I've bought recently, this one was literally bought with "blood money".

My plan for reviewing/summarizing this book is simple: I'm going to spend a lot of time on the first four chapters, and then give you a bird's eye view of the rest. Chapters 5-15 all examine specific worldviews that we encounter in our culture today. If you want to know more about any of these, I would highly recommend getting the book and reading those chapters for yourself.

Mama Bear Apologetics

Mama Bear Apologetics is written by a team of writers, with Hillary Morgan Ferrer acting as General Editor (she did a good bit of the writing too, from what I can tell). I didn't know this before reading the book, but there is actually an organization called Mama Bear Apologetics, and they have a blog and podcast in addition to two published books (this one and another on sexuality). Both the podcast and blog are excellent, by the way, and if you are looking for a way to get some of the content without reading the book(s), I would highly recommend starting there.
