In the Far North, where I live, this time of year the sun is low in the sky and vanishes quickly. However, snow on the ground reflects moonlight, ensuring that it is not totally dark.

Rather than curse the darkness let your light shine. The Spirit of God lives inside of us making us bright lights. Light conquers the darkness.

Shine with the love and life of God.
Shine with joy and praise.
Shine with peace and patience.
Shine with mercy and forgiveness.

Shine with goodness and faithfulness.
Shine with believing and trusting God.
Shine with the beauty of Jesus
Shine to light the way for God's glory!

"You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.  No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father." (Matthew 5:14-16 NLT)
