No matter how crazy busy you might be, take a moment, an hour, or even a day to regroup and just be! Breathe, relax, veg in front of the TV with a decadent treat, sleep or work on a passion. Do you love to write, paint, sew, cook, hike, read, play video games… whatever it might be, do it.

You aren't wasting time. You are caring for yourself enough to know in order to be your best for your family, your job and your responsibilities, you need time to just be. You aren't being lazy. You are being conscious to what your soul needs to nourish your body.

Don't allow the dictates of society which tells you in order to be productive or valuable you have to fill up every second of the day with busy motion. Please don't pass the detrimental belief onto your children; that in order to stay out of trouble and/or succeed, they need to keep busy with an activity, which more often than not, that YOU deem appropriate, even if it does NOT appeal to them! Celebrate their ability to self discovering their own passions and likes. Encourage them to be active, but don't force them to be busy for its own sake. Give them the gift of learning how to simply be, give it to yourself as well!

We each have to learn the balance between doing and simply being. We each have to listen to our own rhythm -no matter if we're 2 or 99- and acknowledge and follow it. Sometimes time restraints might not make it possible to do so, but just planning to give yourself -and your kids- permission to do so as soon as you can, will make all the difference in the world to their physical and emotional health!

Chill out and enjoy each moment instead of allowing them all hurry on by!
