The Football Writers Association of America/National Football Foundation Super 16 Poll  moved Alabama up to No. 1 overall, and kept Michigan at No. 2 in its latest poll released Dec. 5.

The Crimson Tide (12-1) won the SEC Championship game on Saturday, ending Georgia's undefeated season in the process. The Bulldogs (12-1) came in at No. 3 in the latest Super 16 poll.

The College Football Playoff revealed the field on Sunday morning, with Alabama, Michigan, Georgia and Cincinnati making the four-team field. The Super 16 poll aligned with the seeds. Alabama was No. 1, Michigan was No. 2, Georgia was No. 3 and Cincinnati was No. 4 in the CFP rankings and in the Super 16 poll.

Cincinnati will face Alabama in the Cotton Bowl, while Michigan will face Georgia in the Orange Bowl. Both of those games are New Year's Eve.

The rest of the Top 16 includes No. 5 Notre Dame, No. 6 Baylor, No. 7 Ohio State, No. 8 Ole Miss, No. 9 Oklahoma State, No. 10 Michigan State, No. 11 Utah, No. 12 Pitt, No. 13 BYU, No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 15 Oregon and No. 16 Iowa.

Also receiving votes were Louisiana (26), Clemson (24), Houston (17), NC State (17), UTSA (15), Wake Forest (13), Arkansas (12), Kentucky (8), Texas A&M (4), Utah State (2), Wisconsin (1).
