This is the time of year where you either think "hmmm, I'll just eat unhealthy now until the end of the year", or "I need to be able to get fit now, so I can enjoy Christmas to it's fullest potential and not feel bad about it". I HONESTLY thought I was going to have the first option of opinion, but surprisingly not! Since starting my fitness journey, I feel it would be a shame to chuck it all in now when I've come such a long way, not only physically, but mentally also. Like I have mentioned previously, fitness has been such an eye opener. I've been submerged in this world of fearlessness since August, but with things having really kicked off within the last month, I'm heading into the festive season surrounded by people that care, and feeling better about my body image etc. Since the first lockdown, yes it was great for me to be able to experiment in the kitchen and make new dishes (as I'm sure you may have noticed given all of my cooking blogs that went up), it also got to the point where I was wanting to eat more, and bigger portions every day, and so this is where fitness has helped me...the abs are finally coming back!

December is a tricky time of year because you have Christmas, New Year, and for all of these parties and events taking place (not that I'll be going to any other than the one inside my own house), it's all too easy to down those calorific shots and eat to your hearts content. Let's be honest, it isn't Christmas without a cracking roast, and all of the puddings and munchies to go on the sides, and I think we're all pretty much guilty of indulging ourselves in whatever the heck we like. THIS IS NOT A BAD THING. Honestly, when you can treat yourself and not have to worry about what you look like, or worry what others think of you, can you fully immerse yourself into your feelings of happiness. This is why I will still continue to go down to the gym and the pool on the lead up to Christmas. My goal is to make myself feel good - whether that's abs, running a longer distance that pushes me (I still haven't been able to fully run 5K!), or simply doing the weights that empower my strength, but I'm not sticking to really healthy eating or getting caught up in the worry of how many calories I'm consuming.

Do you guys have any fitness goals for December on our lead up the Christmas? If you have any tips, please feel free to share them with any other followers here as I'm sure we could all do with the enthusiam to work out, and the right foundations in the best ways of keeping fit.

That's it from me today. I'm sure I'll keep you all updated on how the fitness is going, and in the meantime, I'm typing up Friday's blog post which is soon to arrive, and there may or may not be ideas for Christmas Stockings! Have the best week!
