Hey everyone! I invite you to check out my YouTube video of our 52 week art challenge where we revisit the subject of color. Whenever the seasons change, it is a great time to spend some time with your color palette and see if there are different colors you may be drawn to.
As with most growth, things change along the way and for me one of them is always color. Simply the change in seasons alone will cause me to be inspired and tweak my customary palette. I'm finding personally that I'm being inspired anew with color and can only imagine that you are also! For example, green rarely makes an appearance in my color palette; however, there have been a few times during the change of a season that I have found myself drawn to it.
Look back at your past pages in your art journal and reflect upon the colors that you have used. Also look at the color of recent purchases in clothes and household items, they also will tell a story about your color emotions.
Maybe you've been thinking about bringing new colors into your home decor but are reluctant because of the large ticket that those items carry. So how perfect is it to play with these colors in your art journal! You will release a lot of wonder by using those things that are stimulating us in other areas of our life when we bring them back into our lab, our studios.
